About this vehicle

1975 Volkswagen Microbus, finished in white and yellow with a white and yellow interior. Titled in Massachusetts, this is a Brazilian-market 15-window Bus that was converted into a 23-window model during a restoration reportedly performed in the early 2020s. A partial list of notable currently installed equipment includes front disc brakes, Safari windshields, dual roof racks, a sunroof, L-shaped rear seats, and curtains. Introduced in 1949, and related to the Beetle, the original Transporter (also known as the Bus) set the standard for generations of forward-control vans. It was widely used as a commercial vehicle all over the world, and it became an icon of the Hippie movement during the 1960s. American sales of the original split-window Bus ended in 1967, though production continued abroad for several years. Power comes from a 1.6-liter air-cooled flat-4. Output is sent to the rear wheels via a 4-speed manual transmission.
